Delay on the Premiere

Sorry everyone, there will be a delay for the Premiere of "Shenika's Redemption." Kubbic Inch Productions, LLC is in the process of having to find an editor to re-do the film due to the unprofessionalism of the previous editor.  So in saying that I will keep you posted.

Finalist - for the Screenwriters Competition

Well, I'm here at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. I picked up my badge and it says SCREENWRITER, I feel so official.  It is such an honor to be here.  God's favor is all around. I know I will have favor and be directed to the right people who will want to finance my film and distribute it. I will let you know how the awards ceremony goes.  I hope I get a certificate stating the Shenika's Redemption is a finalist for Screenwriters.  Not bad for a first script.  I'm excited about completing my full length.  Prayerfully get that produced for next year.  It's all happening so fast. I pray I can keep up.  I'm just so grateful in the Blessings that God has giving me.

Beverly Hills Film Festival!!!

SHENIKA'S REDEMPTION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED IN TO THE BEVERLY HILLS FILM FESTIVAL - APRIL 6 - 10TH.  How exciting!  Will let you know how we do in the screenplay competition!!!. We just want to get picked up for a full length and distribution, but winning is good too.!!!

Post Production

Well, we are still in post production working on the editing. House called and said that the first scene was 17 mins long. So I had to go back into the script and cut lines out. Prayerfully I won't have to cut anything else. I hope he can get it down to 35 mins.  The music is still being worked on, but hopefully all of the music will be complete before Christmas.  I have some good ideas about how I want some of the music to go with certain scenes. I believe the film may just have people crying.  I tell you, God truly is Good, because when the year began you couldn't have told me that I would've done my own film. I always wanted to stay in front of the camera only, but now after writing, producing and starring in my own film was the best time ever.  I like being a producer.  I will be glad when I have the funds to produce a lot more products.  I do want to take a class on film making to make sure I have the basics under control. Also I would love to take a class on direction too.  Everything is working out just fine.  I'm staying positive and confident.  Everything will work out well.

Wow, It is amazing how well everything went on the set.  Everything was organized. Some people didn't show up and had to be replaced but thank God that happened without missing a beat.  Here are some photos. More will be added as time permits.  But I am excited and certain that the film will be picked up.

Issues with a "Name" actor's management

Well, my production manager is trying to finalize getting Tobias Truvillion for the production. The issues we are having is that they are asking for production credit and wanting us to pay his daily fee. Now what boggles the mind is that some people in the industry think because they never heard of you; they assume you don't know anything about the industry. But they have another "think" coming. There is no way I'm giving him production credit when he has given nothing to the production. He will be paid for his acting but to give him production credit would be foolish especially if they think they will make money off of the film. I'm not giving free money away. When we need to make money, so we can pay those who have helped to fund the production and given their time. So we will see how this issue will unfold. They may not respond to the email that was sent to them. Then we will have to recast the handsome man which shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure there will be someone who would love to play this role.  I will keep you updated.

Kubbic Inch is now Legit

I'm so happy to announce that I received my Articles of Organization Receipt which confirms that Kubbic Inch Productions, LLC is now filed with the State of NY. Now I have to get the publication done. I just read 3 articles that stated the LLC publication fee is unnecessary and small business owners have been complaining about it. It can cost $350 - $1000 to publicize the company in 2 newspapers of the county where the business is located. The articles stated that Brooklyn and Manhattan are the most expensive. Well there is a petition that is trying to eliminate the unnecessary fee. I signed it but I will still have to do the publication. I have 120days to get it done. I guess if I get a business credit card I may just have to use it for the publication.  Well I want to make sure I do everything that I can to stay legit. I pray that my company continues to grow and that it will make enough money to help produce shows for other people and their companies.

Kubbic Inch is almost a signatory producer with the Screen Actors Guild too. I just have to send them a copy of the Articles of Organization and a copy of the insurance, which will also cost me $800 for 10 days to protect the production.  I know that the company will recoup all the monies spent. You gotta spend money to make money.  Will keep you posted.
